Non-University Borrowing Privileges
| PATRON CATEGORY | POLICIES |
| ALUMNI | No charge for Library privileges if card-carrying member of UNCC Alumni Association. If not a member, can purchase Community privileges. |
| COMMUNITY | $100/year membership fee for NC residents, 18 years of age and older. |
| CHARLOTTE AREA EDUCATIONAL CONSORTIUM (CAEC) | Faculty/staff from member schools. Must present ID from home institution. Expires on date assigned by user's school. |
| UNC SYSTEM CO-OPERATIVE | Faculty, staff or student from any school in the UNC system. Must present ID from home institution. Expires at end of current semester. |
| FACULTY/STAFF FAMILY | Spouses and children (must be at least 13 years old) of UNC Charlotte Faculty/Staff member. One year expiration date. |
| PROXY | Faculty appointed Proxy Borrowers. Applications available online or at the Circulation Desk. Faculty determine expiration date. |
| SPECIAL PERMISSION | Visiting scholars or individuals working with Faculty on projects or grants. Must be authorized by Circulation Supervisor or Head of Collections Access and Outreach Services. |

| Maximum of 6 items checked out at one time |
| Loan period is 21 days. If item is not overdue and has not been recalled, may be renewed 2 times by calling the Circulation Desk at 704-687-0491 or online at the Library's Website. |
| Electronic Resources are accessible in the Library, but not from off-campus. |
| Fines are charged for items not returned when due. Any unpaid fine results in suspension of Library privileges. |
| Materials on Reserve may only be used in the Library. |
| All items are subject to recall by another user. The guaranteed loan period is 21 days. |
| Interlibrary Loan service is only available to UNCC Faculty, Staff, Students and to other libraries. |
