The North Carolina State Documents Depository System, created in October 1989, established a system for the distribution of North Carolina government agency publications to designated depository libraries. The system provides access to current and historical publications.

UNC Charlotte is a full North Carolina Depository. Although most NC depository publications are available online now, Atkins Library has many old and new paper publications. NC Documents are located on the third floor of Atkins Library. They can be found in the catalog.
