Atkins Library became a depository for Charlotte City and Mecklenburg County documents in 1984. Local documents are located on the third floor. (See Map) The collection includes some items from surrounding counties. Ask at the Reference desk on the first floor for help or contact Marilyn Schuster at 704-687-3983.

Coverage:
Strong for Charlotte Budget & Evaluation, Mecklenburg Budget & Resource Management and Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission

Good for Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and School (CMS) documents.
Have CMS board meetings July 1990-present, some missing issues.

Coverage for other city and county departments and agencies varies widely.
