USAGE STATISTICS FOR ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
Welcome to J. Murrey Atkins Library usage
statistics for electronic resources.
The statistics on these pages are made available
to the J. Murrey Atkins Library by the publishers and electronic resources
vendors (aggregators) that supply the content of the electronic resources in the
Library. These statistics measure in various ways the usage made of our
electronic resources available to the patrons.
Increasingly, publishers and aggregators have made their statistics COUNTER compliant.
COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources) is an initiative developed to provide a single, international, extendible
Code of Practice that allows the usage of online information products and
services to be measured in a credible, consistent and compatible way using
vendor-generated data. COUNTER specifies: the data elements to be
measured; definitions of these data elements; usage report content, format,
frequency and methods of delivery; protocols for combining usage reports from
direct use and from use via intermediaries...guidelines for data processing by vendors and auditing protocols. Copyright: Project COUNTER
