Mike Dong, UNC Charlotte student and one of Atkins Library's Communications/Development Student Assistants, was recognized in the Oct. 18th issue of the Charlotte Observer.  He's overcome some great challenges in life and is an inspiration to many!. Congratulations, Mike!

Need to share computers for group work?  Check out the round, blue room right beside the Library Cafe.  You can hook up to 4 computers to a large monitor.  These UNC Charlotte students are getting ready for a computer science exam.  We think they'll ace it!  

Last May, C-SPAN launched its “LCV Cities Tour” (Local Content Videos Cities Tour), comprised of video journalists visiting eight southeastern cities to record each area’s unique historical and literary livelihoods. Charlotte, NC, site of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, was one of the selected cities.  

Atkins Library Special Collections is happy to announce new online access for nearly 3000 historic architectural drawings from UNC Charlotte’s Louis H. Asbury Papers, Martin E. Boyer Papers, and the Biberstein, Bowles, Meacham, and Reed Collection. The drawings are searchable in North Carolina State University Libraries’ Built Environment Digital Collection. The database provides access to thousands of architectural drawings and photographs documenting hundreds of buildings throughout North Carolina.
