New Database Expands eBook Search

UNC Charlotte Faculty: Search for eBooks to use in your classes

Atkins Library is continuing its efforts to provide unlimited access to eBooks to the campus and to help our faculty use these collections as course adopted materials. We hope that this project can substantially lighten our students’ textbook budgets for the coming semesters.

We have created a database that will allow faculty to search our existing eBook collections, and also a list of selected eBook titles that we can readily purchase for the Atkins Library collection upon request. Once part of the Atkins eBook collection, these materials can be offered as course assigned eBooks for classes—they will be available to the campus for unlimited simultaneous use.  Faculty can search for eBooks by title, author, ISBN, and limited subject searching.  Once a book to be assigned is found, the library will work to make the eBook available for the Fall 2014 semester.

The database can be accessed here http://library.uncc.edu/etextbooks/search.

If you have any questions, please visit our FAQ (https://library.uncc.edu/et/faq.php) on the website, or feel free to contact your subject librarian or the Course Assigned eBooks team at atkinsebooks@uncc.edu with any questions.

Atkins is excited to provide this new service to the UNC Charlotte community and hope to expand the service in the future.
