CANCELED: For the Love of Books

Book cover: Israel has a Jewish problem

Update:  The health and safety of students, faculty and staff remains UNC Charlotte’s top priority. The University has been monitoring the rapidly evolving situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) and has been working in close collaboration with local and state resources.

After careful thought and consideration, Atkins Library has decided to cancel this event. This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one in protecting the health and well-being of our campus community. We will let you know if we are able to reschedule.

What goes into researching and writing an academic book? Where do the ideas and inspiration come from, and how does an individual book fit into the larger scholarly conversation?

Learn about this process and the work of the author in an interview conversation with Dr. Joyce Dalsheim, Associate Professor of Global Studies in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at UNC Charlotte. Gregg Starrett, Professor of Anthropology, will talk with Dalsheim about her latest book, Israel Has a Jewish Problem: Self-Determination as Self-Elimination. Light refreshments will be served.
