The ANSWER Scholarship Family-Friendly Library Room (FFLR) in Atkins Room 209 is a place where parents can bring their children to play and learn while they study. The room is a campus resource that enhances adult students’ ability to excel in their academic programs while caring for children and dependents age 12 and under. The FFLR is a collaboration between Atkins Library, the Office of Adult Students and Evening Services, and the ANSWER Scholarship.
Students who have children ages 0-12 and are interested in reserving this space for study must register in advance of their first visit to the room. Once registered, the student can make a reservation immediately on the Atkins Library website (groupstudy.uncc.edu); however, please allow 24 hours for your ID card to allow you to enter the room. Library security can provide access during this activation period for those who have registered. For questions or problems, please visit the Circulation Desk on the main floor of the library.
The room can accommodate two families at a time and is secured with card swipe access to those registered during their reserved time. Located in Room 209, the space is equipped with:
