J. Murrey Atkins Library will introduce the Charlotte community to the Friends of Atkins Library organization with a kick-off event on Sunday, November 10 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the library on the campus of UNC Charlotte.
The event will feature tours of the library, exhibits of rare items from Special Collections and University Archives, children's activities, and refreshments.
With a Friends of Atkins Library membership (for an annual gift of $49 or more), participants receive benefits beyond those provided
to the public.*

*General access to Atkins Library: The J. Murrey Atkins Library is partially supported by state funds and welcomes the public to enjoy a variety of services and resources within the building. The public may get help with research, use books and other materials in the building, and access scholarly articles and other resources through seven designated guest computers. The public may also conduct research with our rare books and archives, which focus on the history of Charlotte.
