Three group study rooms will receive significant technological and configuration upfittings, along with brand new 55" wall-mounted flat panel monitors, thanks to an $18,500 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant secured by Michael Winecoff, Atkins Library's associate university librarian for technical services.

Over 40 linear feet of former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory’s official documents, photos and personal papers are now available to the public.

J. Murrey Atkins Library will present several topics at this year's Southeast EDUCAUSE Conference, an annual event that supports the organization's mission to advance "higher education through the creative and intelligent use of information technoogy."  Held in Tampa, Florida from May 29-June1, the 2012 conference theme is “The Way Forward...Engaging Technologies, Relationships, and Communities”. 

This year's UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Research Conference showcased over 60 undergraduate students, representing the widest range of disciplines since its inception.  Keynote addresses were given by UNC Charlotte's  Dr.

Atkins Library continues to build its vast digital collections, adding to its catalog 37 Shakespeare streaming videos produced by the BBCbetween 1978 and 1985.
