Collection Support

Honor With Books

Not the flowers and candy type? Immortalize a loved one, a favorite teacher, your cat, or the memory of your first automobile with the Atkins Library’s Honor with Books program. Your donation results in a book purchased for the library, including permanent recognition of your honoree in the Library’s catalog. You can even choose the subject of your books, from engineering to education, business to religion. Honor With Books makes a great alternative gift, and helps make a great University ever stronger.

Your tax deductible donation works like this:

$100: Adds one newly purchased book to the Atkins Library, with a permanent “digital bookplate” message of your choice in the Library’s catalog.

$250: Adds three books with digital bookplates.

$500: Adds six books with digital bookplates.

$25,000: Establishes a named endowment that plates books in perpetuity in a specific discipline with a custom designed bookplate. A pledge at this level may be fulfilled over a period of up to five years.

A $25,000 gift can establish a named endowment that can support the purchase of collections in any subject area. Endowments can be single gifts, or spread out over a period of years.

Book Funds

Atkins Library invites smaller gifts to book funds in select subject areas. Examples include sustainability, digital humanities, entrepreneurship, international business, and LGBT studies. Book funds accumulate until they reach $25,000, and then produce spendable interest.
