Exhibit: because, because, because ... The Wizard of Oz @ Atkins Library Special Collections

2014 marks the 75th anniversary of the iconic MGM movie, The Wizard of Oz. Visit Atkins Library Special Collections to view rare copies of L. Frank Baum’s original books that inspired the movie.

The exhibit includes 14 titles from the Wizard of Oz series with illustrations by W.W. Denslow and John R. Neill as well as pieces of movie memorabilia on loan from the collection of Kathy Sanders.

The exhibit, which runs through January 17, 2014, is on display in the Mary and Harry L. Dalton Rare Book and Manuscript Reading Room. Located on the 10th floor of the J. Murrey Atkins Library, the Reading Room is open to the public Monday-Friday from 9:00 - 5:00.
