We have two classrooms equipped with Chromebooks, projector, large display screen, teaching station, and surround sound. You can use them for library events, instruction, and other academic purposes.
Atkins 125 has 56 seats and 40 computers.
Atkins 124 has 32 seats and 25 computers.
We encourage instructors to incorporate library instruction into their courses. Work with a librarian to bring your class into the library for a dedicated session on information literacy and research skills. To get started, contact your subject librarian.
Open study for students
When they’re not being used for instruction, Atkins 124 and 125 are open for students to study and use the computers.
The room schedule is posted outside the door to each classroom. If the room is available, you’re welcome to use it.
Atkins 124 and 125 are typically available for open study after 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and during library hours on Saturday and Sunday.
Request a library classroom
When classrooms are not being used for library instruction, faculty and staff members can request the rooms for classes or meeting space. Because they are primarily for library use, you can schedule meetings and classes only one week or less in advance.
