Special Collections and University Archives offers research assistance and access to rare books and archives in the Mary and Harry L. Dalton Reading Room, located on the 10th floor of the library (Directions and Parking). The Dalton Reading Room is open to the public and we welcome students, scholars, community members, and all researchers from across campus, the region, and the world.
Appointments are not necessary. During the academic year, the Dalton Reading Room is typically open 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, and you are welcome to come by any time. However, hours vary, so please consult the calendar of hours before your visit.
You are encouraged to contact us ahead of time for help with research or if you have questions about our collections or services. This will also save you time by allowing us to have any requested archival materials ready for you when you arrive.
