Panel Discussion: Dreaming of Dixie

The Center for the Study of the New South will convene a panel discussion of Dreaming of Dixie: How the South Was Created in American Popular Culture, by Dr. Karen Cox, on Tues., Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m. in Atkins Library's Dale Halton Reading Room.  Participants include David Goldfield (History), Richard Leeman (Communication Studies), Debra Smith (Africana Studies), and Mary Newson (Urban and Regional Affairs). Sony Ramsey will serve as moderator.

This campus event is the precursor to the Center's annual lecture held on Tues., Mar. 13 at the Levine Museum of the New South. The distinguished speaker will be Dr. Cox.
