Take a look at the Area 49 Fall 2020 Access & Use Changes!
What is it?
The room is an easy-to-use, all-in-one, soundproof audio and video recording studio for capturing lectures, presentations, and video/audio content.
What's in the space?
- Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K
- ikan Lyra LBX5 Bi-Color Soft Panel Half x 1 Studio and Field LED Light (x5)
- Sennheiser MKE 600 shotgun microphone
- Samsung 65” NU8000 UHD LED TV
How can I use it?
If you are a current student, faculty, or staff member you can book the EZ Video Studio using GroupStudy. The studio isn't listed on the grid view so you'll have to use this exact process to book the space: On GroupStudy's homepage select "View Currently Available Rooms." Next, select the "Area 49" option. Choose a date and time that you'd like to book the space and click "Update." If the room is available during that time it will be visible and selectable. If the room isn't available it won't show up as a bookable choice. The studio may be booked for any of your video/audio production needs. It shouldn't be reserved as a study space.
Once you’ve reserved the studio, print out your reservation ticket from any of our kiosks and bring it to the Technology Support Desk. We will let you into the room and answer any of your questions. You can book it up to 3 hours at a time. You’ll need a USB flash drive to use the room’s recording system. You can bring your own or check one out from the desk.
